Engineers Canada Fellowship Awards In 2007, Engineers Canada created the Engineers Canada Fellowship to honour individuals who have given noteworthy service to the engineering profession. Of the seventy-eight engineers and geoscientists recognized as the inaugural "Fellows" in Saskatchewan, sixty-two attended a Fellowship Banquet on March 26, 2009 at the Hotel Saskatchewan. Those being honoured were awarded with their Fellowship Certificate and Pin by Engineers Canada CEO, Chantal Guay, P.Eng., ing.
Individuals bestowed with this honour have the privilege of using the designation of "Fellow of Engineers Canada" or FEC or of "Honorary Engineers Canada Fellow"-FEC (Hon.). Eligibility for the fellowship include engineers who have served as president of Engineers Canada or one of its constituent members, served as chair of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) or Canadian Engineering Qualifications Board (CEQB), served the engineering profession (Engineers Canada and/or a constituent member) in a volunteer capacity for at least 10 years or served in a senior staff capacity within Engineers Canada or a constituent member for a minimum of seven years. Non-Engineers who have met the requirements of criteria are bestowed.
Those volunteers qualifying for the Fellowship designation in future years will be recognized at APEGS' Annual Meeting. |
